1. Truck driver:

  • To check the vehicle for operational readiness before each journey. This includes inspecting the tyres, brakes, lights, fluid levels and other safety-related components.
  • Properly loading the truck and securing the load to ensure safe transport during the journey. This includes attaching tie-down straps, distributing the weight evenly and complying with the applicable regulations for the transport of goods.
  • The driver is responsible for driving the vehicle safely and in accordance with the regulations. This includes obeying traffic rules, adapting driving style to road and weather conditions, and observing rest periods and speed limits.
  • Getting goods to their destination on time and safely. This requires precise knowledge of the route, efficient route planning and adherence to delivery times as agreed with customers.
  • Properly complete and maintain freight papers, delivery notes, driving logs and other documents. They keep records of kilometres driven, working hours and deliveries.
  • Vehicle maintenance: A truck driver performs regular maintenance on the vehicle or reports possible repair needs to the responsible workshop. This includes oil changes, tyre changes, brake checks and other routine inspections to ensure that the vehicle remains in good condition.

2. Warehouse staff:
